Cangzhou Promotes an Integrated Port, Industry, and Park Timber Chain
On March 1, Secretary Zhang Cai of the Cangzhou Municipal Committee inspected the North China Imported Timber Industrial Park project and emphasized the integrated development of the timber industrial park, the Huanghua Port multipurpose terminal, and the designated entry log supervision site. The goal is to build a complete timber industry chain under a port, industry, and park integration model.
Current Project Progress
The multipurpose terminal officially began construction on November 15, 2025. Large engineering equipment and construction teams are working on site, and the project is expected to strengthen logistics capacity, supporting services, and market competitiveness for the timber industrial park.
Regulatory and Logistics Significance
The designated entry log supervision site for Huanghua Port received approval from the General Administration of Customs on October 19, 2025. This makes the terminal the only timber unloading terminal in the port with customs supervision and quarantine capability, creating a key condition for the region's timber supply chain development.
Future Plan
The industrial park, the terminal, and the supervision site are being advanced together and are planned to meet operational conditions by October 2027. The model is expected to reduce timber logistics costs in North China and support a more connected, secure, efficient, and greener logistics system.
Industry Outlook
The operating company is actively attracting timber importers, traders, primary processors, pallet companies, and deep processing enterprises. Its stated vision is to build an open and collaborative industrial ecosystem and help reshape the timber supply and demand landscape in North China.
