On the morning of January 6, the Beiliu City Panel and Furniture Industry Symposium was held in the urban area. Liu Qi, secretary of the municipal Party committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, emphasizing the need to adhere to a problem-oriented approach, focus on the pain points and difficulties in industrial development, smooth regular communication channels between government and enterprises as well as between tax authorities and enterprises, make every effort to solve development bottlenecks, and promote the high-quality development of the panel and furniture industry.

At the meeting, the municipal forestry bureau reported on the progress of the panel and furniture industry in Beiliu City, while the municipal tax bureau reported on work related to input tax in the panel and furniture industry. Representatives from enterprises including Beiliu Minde Wood Industry Co., Ltd., Beiliu Yifa Wood Industry Co., Ltd., and Guangxi Shangda New Materials Co., Ltd., as well as participants from relevant departments such as taxation and forestry, then spoke in turn. They carried out in-depth exchanges and discussions on issues such as standardized industry management, practical needs in enterprise production and operation, optimization of tax processing procedures, breakthroughs in industrial development bottlenecks, and guarantees for stable raw material supply, and put forward specific opinions and suggestions on relevant issues.

After carefully listening to everyone's remarks and communicating with the participants, Liu Qi emphasized that the panel and furniture industry is one of the key industrial clusters cultivated by Beiliu City. After years of development, it has formed a large-scale and clustered development pattern and has become an important panel and furniture industry base in Guangxi and even southern China, making important contributions to local economic and social development. At present, industrial development is at a key stage of transformation and upgrading. It is necessary to continue updating development concepts, resolutely rectify industry disorder, focus on breaking development bottlenecks and constraints, and accelerate the industry's advance toward standardization, health, and green development.

Liu Qi required all relevant departments across the city to strengthen their service awareness, take the initiative to follow up in advance, focus on urgent, difficult, and strongly expressed issues such as taxation raised by enterprises, carry out in-depth investigation and sorting, strengthen policy support, and introduce targeted supporting solutions. Forestry departments should effectively play the role of competent authorities, put greater effort into analyzing typical cases and solving outstanding problems, and actively explore scientific and effective industry management and service solutions. Tax departments should further smooth regular communication channels between tax authorities and enterprises and, through measures such as strengthening precise publicity of tax policies and optimizing tax service procedures, guide enterprises to pay taxes in a standardized way and promote standardized and scientific tax management in the panel and furniture industry. It is also necessary to improve consultation, judgment, communication, and cooperation mechanisms among departments, promote standardized construction in all links such as raw material procurement, production and processing, and market operations, and help enterprises steadily follow the path of compliant operation. The business environment should continue to be optimized, and efforts should be made to effectively solve the blockages, difficulties, and pain points encountered by taxpayers in the panel and furniture industry during production, operation, and tax handling, so as to reduce institutional transaction costs for enterprises.
