During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Xiangzhou County has firmly implemented the strategy of "strengthening the county through industry." Guided by high-quality development, it has advanced a new round of the three-year action plan for industrial revitalization, focused on cultivating the "3+4" industrial chains, and achieved sound industrial economic growth, laying a solid foundation for high-quality county-level economic development.

Upgrading Industrial Clusters to Build Strong Support for Industrial Development
Xiangzhou County's wood processing industry is showing vigorous vitality and has formed an industrial pattern of "base material processing + finished product manufacturing." In 2024, the county's wood processing industry reached an output value of RMB 3.287 billion, up 5.2% year on year.
In the semi-automated production workshop of Zhiguang Furniture (Xiangzhou) Co., Ltd., machines accurately complete panel cutting and edge banding, while workers assemble products in an orderly manner. Batches of high-end furniture are about to roll off the line and be shipped across China and overseas. "As a leading enterprise in finished furniture production, we continue to expand the market. In 2025, the company's output value was about RMB 136 million," said Wei Yuhong, general manager of Zhiguang Furniture (Xiangzhou) Co., Ltd.
Entering Sanjiangkou Forest Industrial City, standardized factory buildings stand in neat rows. The production workshops of many resident enterprises, including Guangxi Yingtai Wood Industry, Guangxi Dawangye New Materials Technology, and New Millennium Wood Industry, are bustling with activity: in the high-end furniture panel processing workshop, deeply processed panels continuously come off the line; in the construction formwork workshop, workers orderly complete processes such as formwork splicing and hot pressing; and in the high-end wood flooring warehouse, batches of premium wood flooring are about to be sold nationwide. In 2025, Sanjiangkou Forest Industrial City has signed agreements with 20 resident enterprises, of which 16 have started production and operations, with fixed-asset investment of about RMB 410 million and an estimated annual output value of about RMB 1.53 billion.
Innovation-Driven Empowerment Activates New Momentum for Transformation and Development
Xiangzhou County has always regarded innovation as the core engine of industrial transformation. It has deeply implemented the "technological upgrading of a thousand enterprises" initiative, promoting the transformation of traditional industries toward digitalization, intelligence, and green development. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the county advanced 42 technological upgrading projects and received RMB 9.7. million in coordinated regional-level funds supporting industrial revitalization.
Digital-intelligent empowerment has delivered particularly notable results and become an important support for industrial upgrading. In the workshop of Guangxi Dawangye New Materials, the industrial internet platform (MES system) has reconstructed the production process, while two large screens monitor core operating indicators and the status of the digital twin workshop in real time. "After adopting the MES system, product production efficiency increased by 40%, inventory turnover rose by 30%, the product qualification rate improved by 3.5%, and overall costs fell by 5%," introduced Liang Kaili, deputy general manager of operations at Dawangye.

In 2025, nine projects from five enterprises, including Jinxiang Cement, Dawangye, Daming Mining, Baocheng Food, and Tailiang Rice Industry, were successfully selected for Guangxi's second batch of "Artificial Intelligence + Manufacturing" projects. Covering multiple industries such as food processing, mining production, and panel manufacturing, they are accelerating the transformation from "Xiangzhou manufacturing" to "Xiangzhou intelligent manufacturing."
Scientific and technological innovation capabilities have continued to strengthen, and enterprises' core competitiveness has kept improving. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Xiangzhou cultivated 16 high-tech enterprises and 5 "specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative" enterprises, completed registration of 24 scientific and technological achievement transformations, and obtained RMB 1.725 million in fiscal rewards and subsidies. Enterprises such as Zhiguang Furniture and Lianzhuang Technology have successively been recognized as regional-level innovative small and medium-sized enterprises.
