According to information from the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnia and Herzegovina's annual exports of upholstered furniture to the EU have exceeded 100 million marks, making it the fifth-largest source of exports to the EU market. The latest study by the Milan Furniture Market Research Center points out that Bosnia and Herzegovina's export-oriented model shows significant development potential.

From a European perspective, the report analyzes that Bosnia and Herzegovina's main advantage lies in its favorable geographical location, close to large markets such as Germany and Italy. At present, Germany has become a key export destination for upholstered furniture and mattresses from Bosnia and Herzegovina, while neighboring Balkan markets and Nordic countries are also important export directions.
The Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina emphasized that having qualified labor is a key factor in attracting investment, while the fixed exchange rate against the euro provides currency stability for international trade. However, the report also notes challenges facing the industry: the small domestic market, with a national population of about 3. million, may limit the breadth of industrial development, and the overall number of enterprises in the industry remains limited, although some medium and large enterprises already exist.
