On January 4, the first working day of the new year, reporters entered the production workshop of Guizhou Jusheng Wood Industry Co., Ltd. in the forestry industrial park of Zhouqin Town, Sandu Shui Autonomous County, Qiannan Prefecture. Machines roared, thick boards were continuously sent onto conveyor belts, and every part of the production line showed a busy yet orderly scene.
At the entrance to the finished goods warehouse, a truck loaded with wood flooring was about to depart for Changzhou, Jiangsu. Wang Bowen, plant director of Guizhou Jusheng Wood Industry Co., Ltd., told reporters that this batch of goods was from the company's own Shengjia Flooring brand and was worth more than RMB 200,000. The customer had confirmed the order before the Spring Festival rush, the truck would depart that afternoon, and the goods would arrive in two days.

At the beginning of the new year, Wang Bowen's phone kept ringing constantly. Some callers were customers urging faster order fulfillment, some were company general managers assigning various tasks, and others were related to issues on the production line waiting to be coordinated and solved. Wang Bowen said that the most urgent task at present is to complete all orders before the Spring Festival so that everyone can celebrate the new year happily.
Guizhou Jusheng Wood Industry Co., Ltd. is a timber processing enterprise introduced into Sandu Autonomous County through investment promotion in 2024, mainly producing three-layer composite solid wood flooring. The company has downstream cooperative industrial chains with brands such as Jixiang Flooring, Zhuangxiang Flooring, Der Flooring, and Shengjia Flooring. Chen Caiyong, director of the Sandu Autonomous County Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, said that Sandu's success in attracting Jusheng Wood Industry to settle there was due precisely to these uniquely endowed ecological resources, which are the core confidence behind attracting enterprises.
In recent years, Sandu has fully leveraged its own resource advantages, worked hard on optimizing the industrial structure, improving supporting infrastructure, and strengthening external investment attraction, continuously promoting the growth of its leading forestry industry and following a path of clustered and intensive development.
Sandu seeks both lucid waters and lush mountains and mountains of gold and silver. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the Party committee and government of Sandu Autonomous County have kept this mission firmly in mind, adhered to the concept that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets, and insisted on taking the forestry industry as the leading industrial sector. Using forestry as a breakthrough point, and through precise investment attraction and industrial chain cultivation, the county has embarked on a clustered development path that delivers both ecological and economic benefits.
Since the start of the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Sandu has cumulatively introduced 97 enterprises and 172 projects, including Nature Forestry Group, Shengjia Smart Home, and China Power. It is estimated that in 2025, the growth rate of industrial added value above designated size will reach 25%. Among them, the number of forestry enterprises above designated size has reached 11, and the forestry industry's output value in 2025 is expected to reach RMB 460 million, up 35.5. percentage points from 2020. Forestry output accounts for 46% of the county's total industrial output above designated size.
Wu Dan, deputy director of the Sandu Autonomous County Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, introduced that in order to promote the county's forestry industrial chain from scattered processing to intensive and high-end development, Sandu has combined the policy opportunity set out in the Guizhou Province 14th Five-Year Plan for Forestry and Grassland Protection and Development, which identifies four prefectures including Qiannan and Qiandongnan as key areas for building deep timber processing industrial parks, together with Sandu's two major advantages of serving the southwest market, favorable transportation location, and abundant timber resources within the county and within 200 kilometers of the surrounding area. On this basis, Sandu has clarified an industrial system led by forestry and supplemented by three supporting sectors and one distinctive sector, as well as an industrial park layout of one zone and four parks. Focusing on the timber processing industrial chain, it is prioritizing the development of products such as blockboards, eco-boards, solid wood flooring, wooden pallets, solid wood furniture, and customized home furnishing.

At the same time, Sandu is strengthening supporting industries such as decorative surface materials, woodworking machinery, and hardware accessories, building a timber industry system with rational layout, intensive development, complete industrial chains, optimized structure, and good efficiency. It is committed to turning the Sandu Forestry Industrial Park into a production base for eco-boards in southwest China and a demonstration zone for the high-quality development of Guizhou's forestry industry, striving to achieve a total timber industry output value of more than RMB 7. billion by 2035.
In addition, the Party committee and government of Qiannan Prefecture have issued Several Measures to Support Sandu Shui Autonomous County in Creating the Qiannan Forestry Industrial Park, fully supporting Sandu in building the Qiannan Forestry Industrial Park.

Zhang Li, Party secretary of the Sandu Autonomous County Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, said that looking ahead to the 15th Five-Year Plan period, Sandu will continue to strengthen policy support and factor support, activate forest resources, and promote continuous quality and efficiency improvement among forestry enterprises, so as to enhance production efficiency and market competitiveness. At the same time, it will continue attracting enterprises to settle in, expand the forestry industry cluster, and let the value of one tree continue extending in Sandu, writing a new chapter for building an industrially strong county with a beautiful ecology and developed industries.
